As I sit down to write today’s entry half the day has already passed me by. Today has been a very busy morning. I haven’t had a moment to spare, but as I’m sitting at my desk and I’m taking a moment while I eat my lunch and creating space for my next task. I just went to our kitchen and warmed up my lunch which is a cryo vacuumed meal I bought at Costco. These meals are very convenient and pretty healthy for the most part. In the past, I’ve either grabbed whatever was available at home or have gone out to lunch. These meals are pre-portioned and fresh. They come in a three pack and are roughly $ 4.00 a meal. There isn’t any place where you can have a decent healthy meal for that cost. My journey now includes my planning out how and what I am going to eat. I’ve now become more in tune with wellness overall. The well being of my mind, body, and soul. It’s never too late to work on your wellness. You just need to start.
As I was waiting for my meal to warm up in the kitchen, I noticed something interesting on the TV in the kitchen. Our company has put flat screen TV’s in the lunch room that provides company information, current events. and it shows daily quotes. Today it had a great quote that resonated with me. Don’t find fault, find a remedy. How many of us are quick to find something wrong with something or someone? Why do we travel the road more traveled than the road less traveled? Are we just all too lazy to try harder to be better for ourselves and others? I really thought about the quote. I want to be the person that either fixes it or creates a remedy for the problem. Today I vouch to be the person that doesn’t complain but looks for the good in every situation. It’s very similar that if another door closes another one will open. Opportunites are all around us, opportunities to fight negative and the darkness. Last night as our kids were going to bed we let them watch part of the Grammys. As award session is upon us there is a lot of great message from a lot of influential people The ongoing message is the Time IS UP. It’s time to treat all people equally, especially women. We will raise our son to treat everyone with respect. I will teach my daughter to continue fighting and being a strong voice for equality. We as a family watched the performance of Kesha on the Grammy’s. She performed her amazing song Praying.
Told me that I was nothing without you
Oh, but after everything you’ve done
I can thank you for how strong I have become
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I’ll just say this is “I wish you farewell”
I hope your soul is changin’, changin’
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin’
No more monsters, I can breathe again
And you said that I was done
Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come
‘Cause I can make it on my own, oh
And I don’t need you, I found a strength I’ve never known
I’ll bring thunder, I’ll bring rain, oh
