I hope everyone is having a nice weekend! As I sit here in the Costco parking lot I thought this would be a good moment to get back in the swing of things. Tomorrow we are back to reality as winter break is over for our kids. Everyone is getting back to schedules and normalcy(whatever that means).I took a couple days off from writing because we as a family went to Wisconsin to take the last couple of days to be together as a whole family unit. It was a great time and it created memories that we will all cherish for a long time.
Our intention was to go skiing but Mother Nature did not want to warm up the temperature. My wife and I decided it wouldn’t be the best option for the kids to learn in the bitter cold. Friday we spent all day at the resort swimming in the pool and being together. It truly felt like a vacation and we were only 90 miles from home.
We all run around being busy all the time. It’s so nice to have time off and remember what is really important. This weekend I got a chance to refresh. As I sit here and reflect I can’t wait to have another experience like this weekend. 2018 is off to a great start. I would like to keep on building on moments of being together with calmness and peace. Yesterday as we drove home from Wisconsin I got to see peace and innocence in my rear view mirror. It made me smile and brought instant joy to my being.
What I saw was two little people that are my everything and I couldn’t be more blessed. Look for things that inspire you. Sometimes they are right in front of you.
2018 will be the year of slowing down and looking for things that inspire you!!!
