Shrinking my circle.

Good morning,

Today as I drove to work I thought about how I want to be.  I know I want to be open to people I care about.  I want to be with people that care about being with me.  Next month as I start to get more organized with my life, I’m going to start organizing my relationships with people.  The first thing I’m going to do is stop trying to be there for people that don’t care to be there for others and me.  I’m going to remove the selfish people from my life, the people that only care about making their life better.  Life is too short and we don’t have time in our busy lives.  The time that I have will be spent giving to people that also give.  I’m going to fill my life full of the giving people with good energy.   I’ll remove all the negativity.  I’m going to continue giving even if it is inconvenient for me.

Since my journey started at the beginning of October I’ve become more aware of people and their body languages.  I have to tell you, I have struggled with the effects of my feelings and emotions in the past.    I used to wear my emotions on my sleeve.  My moods would change with my feelings.  I’ve really become more aware of my feelings by being connected to myself.   I don’t know if it’s the mediation, the clarity of not drinking, the reading or the combination of all the wellness I’m practicing.  I’m now being less affected by my feelings because I am more aware.  Today be more aware!   Practice makes it better!

The thing I know it’s nice to know I have more control of myself and my being.  Which really is a nice feeling.  The saying goes treat others like you want to be treated, but I have a Dilemma with this saying.   I feel that we as humans don’t treat ourselves nicely.  We are hard on ourselves, we don’t take time for ourselves and we don’t try to improve to be better. We often get stuck making the same mistakes over and over.  My question is how can we treat others as we want to be treated if we can not treat our selves nicely.  Today take time to take care of yourself so you can have an impact on yourself and others.   Kindness is what makes the world a better place.  Be honest with people and be honest with yourself.  Be the change you want and life will be better and happier.   I’m telling you that I’m living proof.  Every day is a challenge, but I’d rather have a challenge because it shows that I’m living and getting better.

be honest
