Starting over isn’t that bad.

Good morning,

Yesterday was a relaxing day. There were no work calls but a couple work nothing life or death emails. Which was a great feeling because I wanted to enjoy my Black Friday. My Black Friday was very profitable for my own gain. My gains were in family time. I spent some great time with my kids. In the morning we sat around the kitchen table and drew pictures. I can not remember the last time we did that, as a kid myself I loved art. I think maybe in the near future I might take it up.

Later in the afternoon we went over to my sister and brother in laws house to watch some Mizzou football. Mizzou was playing Arkansas. The Mizzou quarterback, Andrew Lock before the game started  he potentially could break a SEC record. The record was 40 touchdown passes in a season. Well guess what he broke it. This kid through 5 touchdowns in the game. Mizzou won the game in the last 5 seconds of the game with a field goal.  The game went back and forth like a real game should be.  Showcasing young talent at both ends of the field.  I’m really happy for such accomplishments from such young people that faced real adversity throughout the season.

Before Mizzou’s comeback season started winning, coach Gary Odom had a very dramatic news conference.  He stated in September of 2017 that this is a turn around program and it will take time.  He was making people very skeptical with a 1-5 record.  A lot of people believed he was probably going to lose his job.  After a very disspointing first season of being 4-8 and a 1-5 current season record they were left almost for dead several weeks ago. Something changed in the coach and in the players. They persevered and worked hard. They did something that many teams don’t do, they regrouped and didn’t give up on their goals.  Yesterday the announcers said it was the top five comebacks stastically in college football history.  They finished the season 7-5 and are now going to a bowl game.

I have to be honest I have only watched three to four games this year.  I’ve been to one and watching yesterday’s game as a family was an a great experience.   It was a experience that has left me with a new fresh out look.  Even when you are at the bottom you never know what will happen if you don’t give up and continue fighting. So many of us want to throw in the towel and just be.  Don’t just be, be better.  Fight for your goals.   You can do anything.  We as humans can do anything.  This morning I woke up and I didn’t know what to write about, but I started to reflect and noticed it was right in front of me.   Inspiration is all around us.  Look for inspiration in anything.  It doesn’t have to be grand.   Like the saying if you build it they will come.
My saying is if you look for it, it will be there.  Look for the positive.
