It’s not so bad!

Good morning,

It’s Saturday and I’m ready to be for the day. I don’t have too worry about last night effecting me today. Today is almost two weeks of no alcohol and 42 days of being unplugged. Last night my wife and I went to a formal event for Laurie’s Children’s Hospital. The event is called Cocktails for a Cause. It was the 25th year of this event. My wife has been on the board for 10 years. This organization raises money for medical research for children. It’s amazing organization for the future health of children everywhere. It was my first event that I didn’t have alcohol at. It wasn’t that bad. I was able to present and focus on the moments instead of my ego. Last night really opened my eyes to how so many people really endulge. I’ve been in the same boat but I want to be better at protecting my body. We only have one life to live. I want to be healthy. I’ve been making healthier choices lately and they have impacted my life greatly in a short period of time.

Today make healthier choices. They are so worth it. Invest in yourself.

I’m currently sitting at my son’s baseball practice, but I needed my time to use it to share and connect with people. Writing for me continues to be a start of my daily balance. After baseball practice we as a family are going to buy holiday gifts for kids that are less fortunate. It’s a program through my wife’s work. It’s called Kaleidoscope and it’s amazing organization. My wife is inspiring me today, because we are teaching our kids to help others from a young age. She has been the driver behind this and I’m grateful for her kindness and good heart.

Today give to others in need!

Count your blessing and focus on the good you have. There are some many people that aren’t as fortunate!
